Nikkō is a small town in the Japanese prefecture of Tochigi, established in the mountains north of Tokyo. This is where the Tōshō-gū is located, a famous Shinto shrine founded in 1617; it is a luxurious mausoleum in honor of Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, or Edo period.
Nikkō est une petite ville de la préfecture japonaise de Tochigi, établie dans les montagnes au nord de Tokyo. C'est là que se trouve le Tōshō-gū, célèbre sanctuaire shinto fondé en 1617 ; il s'agit d'un mausolée luxueux en l'honneur de Tokugawa Ieyasu, fondateur du shogunat Tokugawa, ou époque d'Edo.

As far as I can remember I have always taken pictures. I started with the things around me, the people I knew, then during my life, as my horizon widened, I photographed all over the world. For a long time I refused to market my photos, treasured as treasures on my hard drives and on the walls of my house, proudly showing them to a few friends during passionate discussions about trips made or to be made.
